Wendy’s resume and accomplishments in the hospitality field are unchallenged and have proven her capabilities in this world.  A quick review of her accomplishments include multiple national cooking titles, multiple wins of local and state cooking competitions and top 10 in the world of young chefs in a competition held in Leone, France. During Wendy’s training in Atlanta and then Baltimore, she met her husband Joe in culinary school.  Joe has a culinary background as well and was Banquet and Executive Sous Chef at Wyndham and Omni Hotel, and opened Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in Pikesville, as Executive Chef.

They have been together for almost 20 years. After deciding to leave the field to raise the family, and children almost grown, they finally have a chance to open Eats & Sweets!

They have instilled this same passion for restaurants in their three kids, Jordan, Josh, and Sam. Who will support in the kitchen and operations in the front of the house.

A true family restaurant!

Their oldest daughter Jordan, a Student at University of Baltimore, currently holds a 4.0 GPA. Jordan will focus on front of the house operations throughout her college career. Jordan was a North Harford High School graduate and LOVEs her community.  Her plan for after college and post graduate studies is to return to the community.  Harford County is her home and she will HOPEFULLY be able to support Eats & Sweets more then!

Our 16 year old Son, Josh, will support in the kitchen and front of the house operations, and is currently serving at a local pizza establishment.  Josh has a love for waiting tables but is excited to work in the kitchen (alongside his momma).  Josh is a junior at North Harford High School and will be involved at least one more year! Hopefully he will attend North Harford Community College and can stay involved even longer.

Their 13 year old daughter, Sam, has been in the kitchen her entire life and has been baking for a number of years.  Sam started with cracking cases of eggs at community functions, when she was 4! She has worked in and out of kitchens her whole life in support of our endeavors and has grown to LOVE baking.  Sam is in 8th grade at North Harford Middle School and will be supporting her mother after school with all SWEET’s at the restaurant.
